  5. Objective • The objective is the first step in the strategic plan. This establishes the ultimate destination, and dictates the “vehicle” and the action required to successfully complete your plan. • The Objective consists of three steps: • Desires (need, value and audience) • Drivers (connectivity, interactivity and speed) • Landscape (competition, analysis and advantage)

  6. Vehicle/Timeline • Knowing where you are going is not enough to guarantee that you will arrive at your destination. You now must decide on how to get there; how to build a well-defined and valid route. • The three main components of the Vehicle/Timeline are: • Models • Markets (size, selection and targeting) • Marketing (positioning, posting and programs)

  7. Who is your target demographic? Do you know them? Do they know you? 62% of Americans are influenced most by the charity itself. 30% noted their spouse or partner. Markets & MarketingProduct - Brand - Price

  8. Action • Action is the final phase the planning process. It is time to build a practical and "tangible" plan and view your plan through a financial perspective and check the feasibility. • The three main components of the Action portion are: • Activities (priority, stages and cost) • Personnel (responsibility, accountability and measurement) • Financials (revenues, capital and income)

  9. Reward • When a goal is achieved, what is the reward for those served? • When a goal is achieved, what is the reward for Skills USA?
