  2. WISHES • WISH+PAST SIMPLE/PAST CONTINUOUS • You long for a situation different from the current one • Ex: I wish it wasn´t/weren´t raining • I wish I had more time to spend with you • I wish I wasn´t under the weather

  3. regrets • Wish+ past perfect • Regret doing something which belongs to the past • I wish I hadn´t drunk that much. It was really embarrasing • It rained every day. I do wish I hadn't gone there for my holidays.'
