  2. Setting • This Book Takes Places At School As The New Student.

  3. Characters • Nikki Maxwell~14 year old girl she is know as a dork • Zoe~ Nikki’s best friend • Chloe~Nikki’s other best friend • Makenzie~ She’s really popular at school. Everybody likes her, but she doesn’t like Nikki • Brandon~ Nikki’s and Mackenzie's crush

  4. Problem • Nikki is new at this private rich kids school and there is a girl named Makenzie that doesn’t really like Nikki. Nikki is trying to make new friends but she is know as a dork at school because she writes in her dairy and doesn’t have a iPhone like everybody else. Makenzie doesn’t like her because she won the art contest that she had told everybody that she was sure to win.

  5. Resolution • Nikki realizes that she doesn’t have to care about what Makenzie think of her there is more people that she should worry about.

  6. Opinion • I like this book it is really interesting because it is related to the author and if you haven't read this is book I recommended to you!

  7. About that Author • She grew up in Saint Joseph, Michigan, a small city located on the shore of Lake Michigan. • She have 2 younger sisters and 2 younger twin brothers. • She wrote and illustrated her first book in 6th grade as a birthday present for my brothers. • She have 2 dogs, a miniature poodle and a yorkie • Many of the events in the book are based on the her experiences and her daughters had in middle school

  8. Questions • What aspired Rachel to become a author? • Why was Rachel a dork in school? • Does Rachel plan on making new books? • How was Rachel able to publish a book in the 6th grade? • When did Rachel start writhing her first book?

  9. Summary • Nikki has a enemy in school. Nikki wins the art contest that Makenzie was supposed to win but she doesn’t that made her have more anger against Nikki, but Nikki realizes that is doesn't matter what Makenzie thinks of her so she gets over it.
