What’s next for The Ri’ayah Foundation, Inc.?

1. What’s next for The Ri’ayah Foundation, Inc.? Our scholarship and youth development programs are in the initial stages. We already have plans in place for youth development programs that will draw youth in because they are interesting and fun, but are designed to teach skills enabling them to become independent and self-supporting. We have partnerships in place in Liberia to help with these and to ensure their implementation. We lack only the required funding to take them to the next level. These programs will include classes in: - o sewing/fashion design, o computer literacy, o agriculture, o carpentry, and o Baking. We are in the process of planning a medical mission for next year that will include both a medical and dental team. They will: -

2. o provide check-ups and preventative treatment, o treat curable ailments, and o Work to identify pregnant women and connect them with health centers in an effort to reduce sudden infant death syndrome and the high maternal mortality rate. We will continue to send a medical mission every 6 months to revisit old patients and treat new ones. - There is so much more we would like and have in the works to do, but the funding is not yet available to support these programs. With our current and future partners and sponsors, we are making a difference, one small step at a time. With increased funding, we will be able to make bigger strides towards helping the youth of Liberia become more capable, self- supporting adults who can make positive contributions to their country’s welfare.
