Poverty • Poverty in the Afro Latino Communities • Dominicans • Puerto Ricans • 11.2 million out of 48.2 million below the poverty line • in 2006 the unemployment rate was at 4.4 percent compared to present day 2013 where the unemployment rate is now at 9.4 percent. • According to cnn in june 2,267,000 hispanics were unemployed . In july the number of hispanics who were unemployed climbed by 99,000 leaving 2,366,000 hispanics jobless
