  2. Problems related to grouping arrangement • Group size too large. • Group members interests are varied, difficult to compromise.

  3. Problems related to students’ abilities • Lack of language skills • Difficult to translate Chinese terms into English • Lack of analytical power • Lack of initiative • Lack of confidence in discussion • Lack of information collection skills • Not willing to share the expenses

  4. Problems related to school arrangement • FMs have difficulties to supervise 4 groups in class assembly • Difficult to arrange time for group meetings, students are busy – ECA, lessons, detention • Difficult to arrange AV aids for recording • The project last too long

  5. Problems related to evaluating the students • Teachers have difficulties to evaluate the performance of each group member • Difficult to assess student performance at the beginning • Teachers proposed to assess the students based on the product or by peer evaluation

  6. Some Suggested Solutions • Sample forms • Monthly class assemblies • More sharing (esp. mid-term) • Reduce the amount of paper work • Peer assessment
