Establishment of ORID • ORID was established in year 2010 • To promote, coordinate and facilitate research activities within the University • Lead the development of the University’s Strategic Plans including business plan and fundraising strategies.

Key Performance Indicators • Rank among top 20 African Universities • At least 80% of labs and research facilities re-equipped • At least 50% increase in user access for all library facilities • Annual increase in the number of students working with industry either as interns or commissioned research • Publications by faculty in high impact journals increase by 200% • Funding for research increase by at least 150%
