Transitions • Remember getting your first laptop after being used to a desktop? • Do you now haul your laptop home and to class? • You are a mobile worker / teacher / student if so. • But so you also haul along stacks of paper, a text book or two and a few folders of notes or a large notebook?
Digital Ink • Tablet PC is a Laptop plus a pen! • Slates • Hybrids • Convertibles • The Pen is the mouse! (and you can use a mouse too). • Best, but not only way to add a pen • SMART Smartboards and Sympodium • Wacom or Aptiek Tablet

What can I do with a pen I can not do with a mouse? • Annotate and originate live presentations • Read and markup on the screen • Grade electronic submissions • Take handwritten notes and organize • Use new and exciting software that is designed for the pen. • Use the tablet as an input screen, and a second monitor, keyboard and mouse to have a desktop on steroids.
