Some candidates just want different things… During their probation, a new employee at one of our clients liked to regularly spend their lunch break at a Thai massage parlour…and would then return and tell the office exactly what they’d been up to!
Some candidates just want different things… When being interviewed for a role that involves regular weekend shifts, one candidate said they wouldn’t be able to work on Sunday mornings because they play in a Sunday league football team
Developing talent • Mentors • Training • 1-2-1 guidance (both official and unofficial) • Clear career goals / plan • 360 degree development • Incentives / away days
Conclusions • Travel roles are much more varied than 10/20 years ago • Attract, retain, develop • Millennials want flexibility, work/life balance, wellbeing policy etc. • Offer career paths and training • Salary isn’t everything!
