  2. What’s the Database? • A database is a collection of information that is organized so that it can be easily accessed, managed, and updated. In one view, databases can be classified according to types of content: • Bibliographic • Full-text • Numeric • Images, etc. • NCCU Library offers databases in two forms: CD-ROM database and online database. • CD-ROM database is installed in stand-alone desktops while some parts of it are available online. Before the first time to use, please download and setup the program in your computer. • Online database is authorized by the database owners. The library controls the access with IP Address. Users can have the access to the database with library ID and Password.

  5. Where to find database? Another way  Input the database’s name or keyword and click search. 

  6. Database Directory Introduction Pay attention to the note • Search by keywords Start from “Browse by Subject or Department” if you have no clue to begin with, in which Databases are grouped according to several departments in NCCU.

  7. Search Page Instruction Classified by data type according to current findings. Illustration of database accessibility. Some databases require other login information.

  8. Details about the database Click on “Info” for more information and instruction manuals.

  9. How to login database? Click on the title to enter. Enter your NCCU Library ID and Password. If you can't access your account, please call 29393091 ext. 63222.
