  5. Significant Accomplishments • More than 1,100 housing units created (15% in Allegany County) • Over $150 million invested in the communities we serve through public/private partnerships • Have received more than 30 awards for excellence in affordable housing

  6. IHA is a certified Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) in Maryland and Pennsylvania and annually meets MANO’s and PANO’s Standards of Excellence

  7. IHA’s Mission: - provide affordable housing o opportunities and supportive s services - improve the quality of life for t those we serve - strengthen the economic stability o of our shared community

  8. Target Population Low to moderate income seniors, families and individuals who earn 60% or less than the Area Median Income In Allegany County – the AMI for a family of 4 is $52,300

  13. Rental Homes IHA owns and manages over 100 apartments in 5 communities

Serving the residents of Maryland and Pennsylvania since 1990 IHA recently partnered with Heartly House in Frederick, MD and constructed the Family Crisis Resource Center for the City of Cumberland in 1996

Accomplishments in Allegany County • Community Legacy Self-Help Homeownership, 7 • Home Buyer Assistance Program, 13 homes • Hope III / Project L.I.G.H.T., 27 homes • Frostburg, Washington Ridge Family Apts., 28 • Allegany County Revitalization, 69 homes • Family Crisis Resource Center, 20 beds • Penn Avenue Townhomes, 25 townhomes and Community Clubhouse (still under construction)

How will IHA’s Programs and Services Benefit the City of Cumberland? • Employees that can afford to live where they work are more productive and maintain a higher rate of job satisfaction which encourages workforce stability • Our program participants have better budgeting and cash management skills which enables them to contribute more to the local economy • New construction brings jobs to the community and new homes add to the local tax revenue www.interfaithhousing.org
