As of April 1, there will be no charging for lunches. If you have a balance it has to be paid in full in order for you to get a lunch. There will be an alternate lunch provided for you until your balance is paid.
Several of our Creative Writing students were recently published in Both Sides of the Bay Teen Literary Magazine sponsored by the Metro Mobile Regional Library. This magazine spotlights teen authors from Mobile and Baldwin Counties. Congratulations to: Glenn Briggs, original artwork;Austin Finkley, poetry; Miranda Hinton, short story; Bonnie Landers, photography; Victoria Cirilli, poetry; Annie Morrison, poetry; and Anna Young, poetry. We are proud of your accomplishments.
Several HOSA students recently competed in the state leadership competition in Montgomery. Katelin Ryan (Crigler) placed first in the state in the Healthcare Issues Exam. This is a huge accomplishment for a freshman! Congratulations Katelinand all those that participated in the competition!
Mrs. Champion would like to thank everyone who made prom such a special occasion. As usual the kids on this campus were a class act! If you would like to have your ticket back or want an imprinted napkin as a keepsake, please stop by Mrs. Champion's room 406 this week. They will be thrown away after Friday. Thank you again to all the people who came to prom. Finally, if you know someone on the prom committee, thank them for a job well done.
Attention Peer Helpers, your $5 and field trip permission slip are due Wednesday if you plan to attend the FHS Peer Helper trip. Please see Mrs. Champion or Mrs. Cody ASAP to take care of business. You do not want to miss this trip!
The Baldwin County Community Alliance is sponsoring an underage drinking and prescription drug misuse prevention campaign, and we need your help. Submit your creative design for a billboard showing how middle and high school students gain access to alcohol and/or prescription drugs and the consequences of underage drinking and/or prescription drugs. If your idea wins, they will produce the billboard and display it on Highway 59!
(Billboard Contest Continued) The overall winner will be selected out of the entries from all Baldwin County high schools. See Mrs. Beverly in the front office for an entry form. All entry forms are due to Mrs. Beverly by Friday, April 17th.
Attention all AP Lit students: You have until the end of this week to get your tickets for the Shakespeare trip. After that, the tickets will start to open up for other students. Bring your money to Mrs. Goodwin in room 920.
Attention FBLA students who plan to attend the New Orleans trip on April 12 & 13. Please bring your money, field trip form and teacher approval form to Ms. Porter by Friday, March 27. It is imperative that you get all 3 in by this date.
The Lighthouse Youth Task Force participates each year in the Easter Eggstravaganza put on by The Lighthouse. It an Easter Egg Hunt/Children’sActivities located at Garrett Park in Robertsdale on Friday, April 3rd from 10-1. The Youth Task Force is looking for other club members to assist them with the event this year. You will receive service hours and the help would be greatly appreciated. If you are interested in volunteering, see Mrs. Beverly in the front office.
The Lighthouse Youth Task Force will meet on Thursdayafter school in the library. If you have not been trained for this year you will stay after the meeting for training.
Seniors: there are 3 spots now available on the the senior trip. The cost is $425. See Mrs. K. in room 207 for more information.

The boys soccer team will celebrate their senior night on Friday between the JV and Varsity games against Robertsdale. Come out and support the Lions, cheer them on to victory, and congratulate our senior guys!
Tickets for Friday's Faculty/Student Basketball game will be sold during all lunch waves today through Friday for $2. Tickets will also be sold during skinny block only today-Friday as well, in Coach Baker’s room, 400. You must have a ticket to attend the game.
