  9. arreglar elcuarto to straighten the room

  10. cuidar alos niños to take care of the kids

  11. A verb in the INFINITIVE form… gives the action but not the “who” or “when.”

  12. To state that someone is doing something and when they are doing it…

  13. 1. Remove the –ar to get the stem. a. cocinar cocin- b. lavar lav-

  14. Yo -o Tú -as Él -a Ella -a Usted -a Nosotros -amos Vosotros -áis Ellos -an Ellas -an Ustedes -an 2. Add the appropriate ending

  15. cocinar- to cook stem= cocin- Yo cocin o = I cook Tú cocin as = You cook Él cocin a = He cooks Ella cocin a = She cooks Usted cocin a = You cook

  16. Nosotros cocin amos = We cook Vosotros cocin áis = You all cook Ellos cocin an = They cook Ellas cocin an = They (girls) cook Ustedes cocin an = You all cook

  17. lavar= to wash stem= lav- Yo lav o = I wash Tú lav as = You wash Él lav a = He washes Ella lav a = She washes Usted lav a = You wash
