When we praise a work of non-fiction we say things like • This book is very informative. • I have learnt a good deal that I didn’t know before. • This book explains these concepts very clearly. • This book presents a lot of information in a very interesting way. • The layout is very attractive and the graphics are excellent.

6. If we want to criticize a work of non-fiction, we say • I found the book rather confusing. • The author didn’t have any direction. • The book had little to say . • The illustrations are not helpful • The diagrams are not attractive.
