Important outcomes • Limiting warning to 1.5 degrees is possible but will require bold ideas and just transitions • Minimize trade-offs, focusing on synergies and co-benefits in line with Paris Agreement • Stronger science-technology-policy interface for synergistic actions are needed, (e.g. through GSDR and the TFM) • Partnership and network, inclusion and human rights approach; support to developing countries • Better inclusion of links between climate action, disaster risk reduction, and the SDGs in their VNRs presented at the high-level political forum on sustainable development (HLPF) • the challenge of simultaneously addressing CC and SD demands a decentralized multi-level approach, recognizing the key role of subnational and local governments, as well as local communities and indigenous peoples.
