Types Of M.I.D.I. Software • Sequencers • Notation programs
Sequencer Program Software that allows you to record multiple MIDI tracks that are played back through the musical instrument to create musical pieces. (Great for auditory learners)
Examples • Cakewalk SONAR • Steinberg Cubase • Ableton Live
Notation Programs Software that allows you to input notes and playback musical pieces by note reading. (Great for visual learners)
Examples • Finale • Sibelius
Digital Audio A format of recording ANY type of audio directly into a computer or other digital equipment that allows that audio to be later recorded to CD or DVD media.
