Standards • Common Core Aligned • Linked on my webpage • Assignments often have the Common Core standards listed at the bottom. • Depth over breadth • Example: Instead of learning 14 new words, students learn two and prepare the pronunciation, a definition in their own words, a symbol or picture, a meaningful sentence using the word, and an action connected to the word. Then the student shares their knowledge with their peers. • Cross-curricular approach
