GA Medicaid EHR Incentives Program The Program will provide incentive payments to eligible Acute Care and Children’s Hospitals as they adopt, implement, upgrade or demonstrate meaningful use of certified EHR technology. “Better care anywhere” Acute Care and Children’s Hospitals Hospital Incentive Payment Calculator
Eligible Hospitals (EHs) • Acute Care Hospitals • CCN range: [0001-0879; 1300-1399] • Children’s Hospitals • CCN range: [3300-3399]
Eligibility - Patient Volumes Acute care hospitals • At least 10% Medicaid patient volume • 90-day period in calendar year preceding payment year • Average length of stay: ≤25 days Children's hospitals • No Medicaid patient volume requirements • Children’s wings of larger hospitals are excluded OR
Incentive Amounts Base amount adjusted according to the results of the hospital incentive calculator Payments do not have to be consecutive if the hospital registers BEFORE 2016 Total incentive payment is divided into three (3) payments of 40%, 40% and 20%

Adopt (purchase and install) Your certified EHR technology does not have to be “up and running” to register for the EHR incentive program.
Implement (start using) Start using the certified EHR technology you have already purchased. Make sure the EHR technology is certified!
Upgrade Update or Upgrade your current technology to one that is certified by the ONC
Upgrade Update or Upgrade your current technology must be tested and certified by an Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ATCB)
