Introduction • This slides shows the different steps for remote SW Update with HiSPA.The procedure starts after release of RTPatch KV in SWS Server. • Each HiSPA certified HiPath Product or Application can be updated with this procedure. • HiSPA is composed by 3 different parts : HiSPA Assistant, Observer and Manager • HiSPA “Assistant” is the software part providing diagnostics, inventory management as well as software supply functions. It is installed on the SESAP Server (Serviceability Platform for Service) HiSPA Manager • HiSPA “Observer” is a software agent that is installed on each HiPath Application PC/Server • HiSPA “Manager” is the part installed in the Remote Clearing Centre of Siemens that able technical engineers to realise a process controlled software update from remote. New Delta package available • Remote Service Engineer (RSE) gets Notification about new Delta package of HiPath Application. This Delta package is available on R-SWS. • RSE has to know, which devices have to be updated. PSE. Intelligent Net Working
Searching Device • RSE is searching in SIRA EQE to find customers with HiPath Application (one or several customers). • RSE select Application(s), which has to be updated and transfer it to HiSPA Manager with context menu. PSE. Intelligent Net Working
