Skeletal System In gymnastics your Skeletal System is very important! You have to have strong bones so you don’t break if you fall. You also have to be able to hold yourself in different poses. If you didn’t have bones, it wouldn’t be possible to do anything in gymnastics.
Muscular System In gymnastics, the most important body system is the muscular system. This helps you hold yourself up and be able to do everything. In gymnastics you HAVE TO have muscles. You wouldn’t be able to stand up on the beam let alone do a back handspring on one if you didn’t have this system.
CirculatorySystem Another important body system for gymnastics is the circulatory system. The circulatory system supplies blood everywhere. It even supplies it to your brain. If you didn’t have a lot of blood going to your brain, you wouldn’t be able to think fast, and a gymnast has to think really fast. If your blood wasn’t flowing enough, you would get light headed and pass out. Even if you didn’t pass out, you would be so unstable you couldn’t do anything anyways. Also, if you didn’t have this system, you wouldn’t be alive.
Nervous System Even the nervous system is important in gymnastics. If you didn’t have this system you wouldn’t be able to feel any pain if you broke your arm or twisted your ankle. That could be very dangerous. You could injure yourself very badly.
