Indication: • (Spare denture) Emergency denture in case of lost denture • Improving some aspect of new denture without changing the old denture • Worn out denture • Improving the fit • Replacement of successful immediate denture • Pts with poor neuromuscular control • ```
Contraindication Poor esthetic Denture instability due to incorrect setting of teeth Unhealthy underling tissue (flabby ridge)
Advantages over conventional procedures: - 1. Reproduction of successful design features on which a patient’s tolerance and control of the previous dentures depends. 2. Accurate alteration of undesirable features. 3. Simplified occlusal registration. 4. Reduced number of clinical visits
Disadvantages: - Increased charges:- may be made by commercial laboratories: - 2. producing template if this is not done in the surgery. 3. setting up on template as this disturbs the production routine.

Try in of laboratory duplicated denture • Make necessary correction (minor correction) • VDO • Extension • CR • Impression making • Close mouth technique • Suitable impression material (ZOE, Silicone) • Make sure that u r in the correct CR • Send it to the lab. For retry-in or final delivery
Delivery (Fitting) of Duplicate denture • Check fitting surface • Extension (borders) • Relief (frenum) • Pressure area • Check occlusion • Centric occlusion • VDO • Occlusal adjustment • Instruction
