  1. FIS SEASON ACCREDITATION International SkiFederation

  2. FIS Season Accreditation Aim • Only for people who enjoy the FIS World Cup over several stations • Clear definition of groups of persons and relevant accreditation categories • Clear regulations concerning rights of access for the corresponding categories • Accreditations for the World Cups (Alpine, Nordic, Freestyle, Snowboard) • Validity of accreditations until 31st March 2008 • With the payment of the „special fee“ the holder is insured • Digital accreditation system available.

  3. FIS Season Accreditation Design • For cost reasons and to simplify the accreditation system as well as for easier handling, the same accreditation cards are valid for the seasons 2006/07 and 2007/08. • On these cards you will find personal details, space for a photo and the category of accreditation and the seasons in an easily readable size.

  4. FIS Season Accreditation Accreditation categories • Enclosed you will find a summary of categories specifying the individual groups such as National Ski Association, Industry etc. • The discussions about this system held with representatives of National Ski Associations etc. as well as Organisers have shown that a clearer control is possible thanks to determination of the different groups of persons to different accreditation categories. This results in the corresponding rights of access to the single corridors in the finish area, media centre, etc. for the different groups of persons according to their function.

  5. FIS Season Accreditation Special • We must point out that generally the FIS season accreditation are only given to persons who visite more than 8 – 10 events. For persons visiting only a few FIS-World Cups, the FIS season accreditation will not be issued. They can require a day accreditation at the local organising committee. • For individual visitors it is still possible to obtain an accreditation for the day, by presenting a document of legitimisation. • The holder of a FIS season accreditation may only work within the category who applied for (e.g.: A service-person is no photographer).

  6. FIS Season Accreditation Insurance • Please take note, that we handle only correct filled in forms, included the picture, the valid identity card and the amount of CHF 25.00 / USD 17.00 / EURO 18.00. 12. Gentlemen Agreement FIS & Photographers / TV-Team • Accreditation FIS season accreditation is essential for entry into media and photo sectors at the finish area. No access to the courses and their photo sectors will be given without FIS season accreditation and FIS photo accreditation armband which must be worn in a clearly visible way.

  13. Gentlemen Agreement FIS & Photographers / TV-Team • Number The number of photographer's and TV team's accreditation will be determined by the FIS Chief Race Director depending on the actual conditions of the course. The maximum number is 40 accreditation for photographers and 25 for representatives of TV teams. Allotment of course accreditation depends on the actual number determined by the FIS Chief Race Directors and according to the priority list established by FIS Marketing together with the photographers/TV companies which is distributed to all Organising Committees at the beginning of the season.

  14. Gentlemen Agreement FIS & Photographers / TV-Team • Quotas In case of special circumstances (e.g. weather or course conditions) the FIS Chief Race Director may reduce the accreditation for photographers on the course. The Chief Race Director will decide on such restrictions in consultation with the chief of press of the OC and the OC's responsible of the photographers.

  15. Gentlemen Agreement FIS & Photographers / TV-Team • Photographer's Positions on the Course Responsibility: The Jury respectively the FIS Chief Race Director decide on all concerning matter. Positions: - Good positions for photographers will be determined, if possible, in consultation between the FIS Chief Race Director respectively a member of the Jury, the chief of press of the OC or a therefore engaged photographer during the training runs. -Fixing will be made, if possible, by a Jury member commissioned by the Jury on proposal of the local photographer's co-ordinator.

  16. Gentlemen Agreement FIS & Photographers / TV-Team • Leaving the Positions Photographers may leave their positions during the race only if there is a direct exit from the racing track. For conduct along the course after training or races (e.g. side-slipping along the edge of the course, skiing outside the course) the Jury's instructions must be observed.

  17. FIS World Championships Aims • We would like to involve the media responsible of the National Ski Association respectively the media co-ordinators of the individual ski teams in the conception and proceedings of the press and media service at the FIS Alpine and Nordic WSC . Moreover a good relation between the FIS WSC media service, the ski team, the FIS media service and the service of the respective National Ski Association shall be achieved.

  18. FIS World Championships Basis • The FIS communication will clear who will be present as media co-ordinator for the individual National Ski Association respectively the ski teams at the FIS Alpine and Nordic WSC 2007.

  19. FIS World Championships • Accreditation for the FIS WSC In agreement with FIS, the press and media responsible of the National Ski Association will receive – in accord with FIS – an additional accreditation giving them access to corridors and facilities needed. The national chiefs of media will be informed by the responsible of the FIS WSC organiser respectively by the FIS Marketing/Communication Director, how the press and media service at the FIS WSC is planned in general and about the proceedings for co-operation with the national chief of media.

  20. FIS World Championships • Co-ordination At the begin of each FIS WSC, meetings with the chief of press respectively press co-ordinators will be held in order to introduce them personally and to discuss the strategies and details of the co-operation.

  21. FIS World Championships • Information The national chief of media informs the FIS media service before and during the FIS WSC about special happenings (e.g. injuries etc.) lists of team members, flag-bearers for the opening ceremony etc. The media guides of the National Ski Associations/Teams should be available at the media centre.
