This update provides information on the DOE Transportation Emergency Preparedness Program, including revisions to the MERRTT materials, future considerations, shipping routes, training activities, and agency cooperation.

MERRTT Revisions • TEPP received a total of 28 comments on the 3 full-length videos that were sent out to the Working Group • 13 on Decon Video • 11 on Emergency Response • 4 on Pre Hospital Practices

MERRTT Revision Schedule • April, 2016 – Videos, PowerPoint, and printed material review and comment process is complete • June, 2016 – Ad Hoc Training Working Group approval to incorporate comments • July, 2016 – Finalize incorporation of comments and update graphics • August, 2016 – Pilot final materials in TEPP sessions • September, 2016 – Order DVDs and printed materials and begin using new materials

FY 2016 Training Activities • Training sessions and headcount completed in FY 2016 by Regional Government Group • Western – 38 classes by DOE and 4 by state instructors with 520 students attending • Midwest – 1 class by state instructors with 7 students attending • Southern – 63 classes by DOE and 13 by state instructors with 1,124 students attending • Northeast – 13 classes by DOE and 2 by state instructors with 199 students attending
