Site Visit (5/12/2009) 40 students from 4 primary schools in Shatin visited the solar panel and wind turbine in our school.
F.6 Geography (January, 2011) Examine the effectiveness of solar energy and wind power production in our school. Explore ways for making a successful green school.
Target: F.6 • Examine the various factors for the location of the solar panels and wind turbine on the roof. • Using data provided, examine the effectiveness of solar energy and wind power production in our school. • Discuss how these two power resources can be extended to other sites in the local community as well as other parts of Hong Kong. • Discuss other possible projects in schools which can reduce power consumption. • Make an oral presentation on the findings and various suggestions to make our school “A Successful Green School”.
