Using the UB Course Evaluation System A Guide for Students The UB Course Evaluation System is powered by
Email Notification • You will be prompted with an email from Campus Labs when course evaluations are open. From: notification@ce.mail.campuslabs.com To:Smith, Jane Subject: Course Evaluations Are Open
MyUB Announcement • An announcement will also be posted on MyUB with a link to the course evaluation site. Course Evaluations are now open. Log in to complete yours today.
Logging In • Course Evaluation uses the same login as other UB central services. • Enter your UBITName and Password and click Log in. • You will be directed to the course evaluation landing page.
Course Evaluation Landing Page • You will see courses within the current evaluation period and those you have completed in the past. • Click Startto begin the evaluation for a class.
Completing an Evaluation • Click on the radio buttons to indicate your level of agreement with each item. • Click Nextto continue.
Completing an Evaluation • Open ended items are not required but allow you to discuss your impressions of the course in more detail.
Completing an Evaluation • When you have finished the evaluation, a green check will be placed in front of the course title on the landing page. • You can edit your responses until the evaluation closes on the Due Date.
Mobile-Responsive Technology • Evaluations can be completed on any mobile device. • Instructors may provide time in class for students to complete evaluations on smart phones, tablets and laptops.
Anonymity of Course Evaluations • Responses are COMPLETELY anonymous! • Instructors or administrators cannot see the identity of respondents, nor can they link responses to a specific student.
Your Participation is Important! • Course evaluation data is important for your instructors! • They use the summarized data from a course to: • Perfect instructional strategies; • Identify areas where students might need additional supports; • Review the relevance of course content; • Improve the overall course; and, thus, • Improve the instructional environment and student learning at UB.
