Deductive Reasoning • Starts with a given conclusion, it doesn’t have to be figured out. • Ends with the details. Example: • Standard baseball games have 9 innings. • We watched a standard baseball game. • That game had 9 innings.
BUT in Deductive Reasoning • The conclusion can be the main claim or point of an argument • the details are called premises and follow the general conclusion.
