FBLA Goals • Develop competent, aggressive business leadership • Strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work • Create more interest in and understanding of American business enterprise • Encourage members in the development of individual projects which contribute to the improvement of home, business, and community

  6. Levels of Membership • FBLA Middle Level – 6th to 8th grade • FBLA – High school students • PBL – Post high school students • Professional Division – business people, parents, educators

  7. History of FBLA • Developed in 1937 by Dr. Hamden L. Forkner • February 3, 1942 1st chapter was chartered in Johnson City, TN • 1947 Iowa forms the 1st state chapter • 1969 Board of Directors is formed
