Objective • Provide requirements for Age Hardened Nickel Base alloys used in the manufacture of API 6A pressure-containing and pressure-controlling components to assure they are not embrittled by the presence of an excessive level of deleterious phases and meet minimum metallurgical quality requirements. • These additional requirements include detailed process control requirements and detailed testing requirements.

To Be Done • Finalize Mechanical Property Requirements • Test Orientation • Properties for Sizes >10 in. • Develop an Appropriate Hardness Conversion Table • Develop Hardness Re-Test Procedure • Develop Grain Size & Microstructure Requirements including Photomicrographs • Determine Whether Additional Testing will be Required to Validate Requirements
