Remembrance Day (UK) / Veterans´ Day (USA) – 11th November • honouring soldiers killed in WWI and II and veterans of all wars – parades, silences • end of WWI in 1918 • symbol – red poppies worn on clothes
Christmas – 25th – 26th December • preparations, symbols – decorating houses, trees, hanging mistletoe, preparing presents, singing carols 4
