What you need to remember… Remember to FLAQOV Make your sentences longer by using a range of connectives – Mais (but) Aussi (also) et (and) Give your opinion all the time – more than two if possible Always give reasons as well – use car & parce que (because) as well as C’etait(it was) Using different tenses will enable you to achieve a higher level Ensure the content is appropriate for the task – Answer the question Try to include negatives too.
Speaking… • You must speak for between 1 and 1.30 minutes – Time yourself! • It is a presentation so I will not ask you any questions • You can have some pictures to help you – On an A4 sheet (clip art) and 20 words • Ensure you have checked your pronunciation with your study partner and also your intonation. • Your work will be recorded and marked according to the following criteria: Communication (whether you answer the question) – Quality of Language (whether you included different tenses, opinions, reasons and connectives) and Pronunciation and Intonation.
Writing… • You must aim to write between 100 and 150 words– Count them! • You can have some pictures to help you – On an A4 sheet (clip art) and 20 words • Re-read your work and ensure you have checked your spelling mm • Make sure you have answered all the questions / bullet points • Your work will be marked according to the following criteria: Communication (whether you answer the question) and Quality of Language (whether you included different tenses, opinions, reasons and connectives)
