Holding a GrudgeDiagram Pegs/Pins – 45 degree angle Aluminum Foil Ball – “The Grudge” Large Hole – big enough for a child’s hand to fit comfortably in before grasping the ball Log This is a trap inspired by the book, “Where the Red Fern Grows” by Wilson Rawls . The child should be able to fit his/her hand into the hole without a problem. However, when he or she grasps the ball, the pegs/pins should prevent him/her from being able to pull his/her hand back out. As long as he/she grasps the ball, he/she should be trapped, but if he/she decides to let go, his/her hand should come out freely. Please be careful about sharp edges on the finished trap so that we don’t accidentally cut the child who volunteers for the demonstration.
