  3. What does Scripture Say? • Genesis 2:2-3 – “By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. ”

  4. The Word “Day” – Genesis 1-2 • The Hebrew word for “day” (Genesis 1) “yom” -- a period of time, a specific point in time, a year, the time of day when it is light out and it can also refer to 24 hour period of time. • The Holy Spirit, writing through Moses, didn’t allow for any other interpretation than 24-hour days because He used a number, and the phrase “evening and morning” for each of the six days of creation (“and there was evening and morning the first day,” etc.).   5. What does Scripture Say? Matthew 19:3-6 – (JESUS supports Creation!) Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?" "Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,‘ and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."

What does Scripture Say? • Mark 10:6 – (JESUS supports Creation!) -- “But at the beginning of creation God 'made them male and female.'” • 1 Corinthians 15:45 -- (PAUL believed in an actual Adam) -- So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.

  7. What does Scripture Say? The Bottom Line: • Romans 1:20 – “For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” • Creation points to a Designer • Psalm 14:1a -- The fool says in his heart,        "There is no God."

  8. Adam’s age on his wedding day(Wasn’t Adam and the rest of it more than just days old???) Adam looked like an adult when he married Eve (Genesis 2:25), but in fact, he was not even a day old when Eve was created since both Adam and Eve were created on Day 6 of Creation (Genesis 1:27-31). So Adam may have appeared to be 20 or 30 years old, but wasn’t even a full day old! Couldn’t God do this? Of course He can! He’s God!

  9. “Roadkill” Fossils • I’m not an expert, but I have some common sense. • If your Hummer hit a dinosaur and killed it (and probably your Hummer, too), then if you just left the dinosaur in the street, it would rot and decay like the opossums we see around here. • To preserve the dinosaur, it would need a rapid burial as well as other factors that would be present in a global flood. Have you heard of a guy named Noah?

The Fibonacci Sequence: Used by an Intelligent Designer • A mathematical sequence that appears in the musical octave, Pascal’s Triangle, among other places. • Relates to the Golden Rectangle (& Golden Ratio), which contains a spiral that is seen in the cochlea of the human ear, the chambered nautilus, the spiral galaxy, and in hurricane storm clouds.
