The Fixture Appraisal The fixture appraisal is nota moving inventory Identify items to be included in fixture appraisal For each item, identify: - Cost New - In Place Value - Salvage Value

Moving Inventory • Who should develop the inventory list? • Relocation Agent should develop inventory list • If the business develops the inventory list, relocation agent must verify list. • Good practices for developing the inventory: • Determine types of moving bids needed • One inventory list outlining inventory included in each type of move • Pictures corresponding to inventory • Layout corresponding to inventory list
Obtaining Moving Bids • Relocation Agent should obtain bids • Contact movers and coordinate time for all movers and relocation agent to meet at property • Bring moving inventory and corresponding pictures to give to each mover • Walk through property with all movers and outline what items are to be included in each bid
Moving Bids • Bids should include: - packing and unpacking - moving - disassembly/assembly - 100% valuation insurance • Request “not to exceed” language in bids
Moving Claim Items that should be included in the moving claim: • Letter/Memo outlining claim • Relocation Claim • Two moving bids for each type of move being claimed • Self-Move Agreement (if business moves itself) • Paid receipt for move (if mover completes move) • Moving inventory list • Business Moving Expenses Worksheet (READS)
Tangible Loss/Substitute Use of Personal Property • Differences and Similarities • Often covers IT equipment, such as computers and other electronics; security equipment • No upgrades. (May enhance benefits to purchase items as part of acquisition.) See REPM 5.7.11
