4. DBQs • READ THE QUESTION THOROUGHLY • Underline or highlight the (multiple) parts you will need to answer. • READ the DBQ now. Stop before the documents. Underline where necessary • HINT: may want to rewrite requirements or questions in own words before beginning to write

Draft a thesis statement. • Remember to think about the documents and outside information in your thesis and how you will use them to make your points. • DO THIS NOW

7. DBQs • You’re ready to write! • You will now write an essay to support your thesis. • Remember to introduce your thesis, don’t just begin with it. • Remember to use the document (quote it) in your DBQ • Remember to use your outside information too!
