What is Title I and How Does it Help Schools? • Federal grant providing extra money for children struggling in school. • Extra programs to improve regular education services • School day services, summer school, family resources and family events.
How are Students Chosen to Receive Title I Services? • Selection for services is according to student test data. • Student scores and goals are provided to parents through a Notice of Services letter. • Test data is monitored throughout the year to determine eligibility
Scholastic Reading I) Reading Selection Criteria • Gr. 7: • SRI: Proficient at end of Gr. 6 = 925 • Iready: Goal at end of Gr. 6 = 641 • Gr. 8: • SRI: Proficient at end of Gr. 7 = 970 • NWEA: Goal at end of Gr. 7 = 218

Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) LLI is a small-group, supplementary literacy intervention. TheLLI systems are designed to work on these skills: • Comprehension • Vocabulary • Fluency • Phonics and Word Decoding • Writing • Test Taking
