Access enrollment and attendance reports for youth and young adults through MLS or lds.org. Ensure accurate data for seminary and institute participation. Find instructions and guidelines for report creation.

Seminary and Institute Enrollment and Attendance Information • Enrollment and attendance reports for youth and young adults are available in MLSand on lds.org for most English speaking countries. On lds.org sign in and go to the drop-down menu and select leader and clerk resources. • Priesthood leaders have received the Notice on the next slide. • “The Bishopric oversees the enrollment of those who are eligible for seminary and institute. The bishop and his counselors encourage:” • “All youth of the appropriate age (generally 14-18) to participate in seminary. • All single postsecondary students to participate in institute. The bishopric may also encourage married postsecondary students, as well as young single adults who are not students, to participate in institute as their needs and interests may be served (see 11.2.2)” (See Handbook I: Stake Presidents and Bishops; 11.1.4) —2010).
A Couple of Points If you have problems with accessing attendance information please contact the MLS help desk. If you need help interpreting the attendance information, please contact your local Seminaries and Institute representative. Please note: in order to have the most recent attendance information you should perform a send and receive to download the latest information before creating and printing the report. If using lds.org, please follow instructions on the next slide. If using MLS please follow instructions on the last eight slides.

Record Year in Seminary for Youth For youth that are not yet eligible for seminary, not currently enrolled in seminary, or no longer eligible for seminary, you can identify a “Year in Seminary” in MLS for each of these youth. This will remove those youth from the Seminary Attendance Report that are not eligible for seminary this year and make your report percentages more accurate. Select Seminary Enrollment Progress
Year in Seminary Update Please make certain that you have selected the “Current Year” option in the dropdown list. Seminary in 2 Years Seminary Next Year First Year Second Year Third Year Fourth Year Post Seminary Select the appropriate year in seminary for each youth and then remember to click the Save button at the bottom!
Creating the Reports Select either • Seminary Attendance Report • Institute Attendance Report
Seminary Attendance Report The Term-to-Date Attendance will show how many times each student has attended / the number of class sessions held. A percentage of 75% is required to receive credit for seminary. The Attendance Status will either show “Not Enrolled”, “Good” for those students with 75% attendance or higher, or “Of Concern” for those students with attendance falling below 75%. Printing the report will provide additional information for each of the youth in the ward.

This report can be used by priesthood leaders to: • Encourage enrollment and attendance. • Alert other leaders to those who are struggling with attendance. • Compliment those who are doing very well with their attendance.
