This report provides updates on the implementation of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) revised version 2006 and showcases good practices from various countries and sectors. It also discusses the registration of CAF as a Community Trademark.

Registration of CAF as a CTM Registration of “CAF-Common Assessment Framework” as a Community Trademark (CTM) with the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM), Alicante • EIPA will submit the application for a CTM • Type of trademark: figurative mark (CAF with clarification beneath: Common Assessment Framework)[N.B. no specific colour claim] • Procedure a) Filing with OHIM; b) Publication of the application; and c) Up to registration (incl. opposition proceedings, within 3 months) • Validity: 10 years

Registration of CAF as a CTM Cost - Basic fee application for an individual mark for a maximum of 3 classes of goods and services = EUR 900 - Basic fee registration individual mark (for ten years) = EUR 850 Classes 16 Paper, cardboard and goods made from these materials, not included in other classes; printed matter; bookbinding material; photographs; stationery; instructional and teaching material (except apparatus). 35 Advertising; business management; business administration; office functions. 41 Education; providing of training; entertainment; sporting and cultural activities.
