  1. How to Create a Terrific Portfolio and E-Folio

  2. Portfolio refers to the binder with hard copy. E-folio or webfolio refers to the electronic version of the portfolio.

  3. The portfolio and e-folio ideas in this slideshow are aligned with the Illinois Professional Teaching Standards. The examples are for English Language Arts.

  4. Suggested Portfolio and E-folio Ingredients • Table of Contents including the IPTS • Two-three artifacts for each standard (see IPTS template for suggestions) • Rationale for each artifact • The portfolio should represent your entire course of study and your first-year teaching experiences

  5. Artifacts: Tips • Artifacts may demonstrate more than one standard • Include photographs or quicktime movies of you teaching • Include evidence showing that students have learned what you taught (papers/tests/projects)
