Distributed Power Modules Model 5495 Model 5499 6 Amps 9 Amps
Distributed Power Modules 3 Amps per output 4 Notification outputs 1 Aux output Fuseless Design Dip switch programmable
Distributed Power Modules Fully Supervised Flexible wiring (Class A or Class B) 2 Input circuits (Activated and supervised by FACP)
Distributed Power Modules Synchronization Built-in for appliances from System Sensor, Gentex, Faraday or Wheelock. .
Distributed Power Modules SWITCHING v.s. LINEAR DESIGN -Up to 50% more efficient. -Puts out less damaging heat. -Faster input re-action. -Gives you lighter weight. LOWER SHIPPING COSTS!! -Switching power supply’s are used in computers.
Signal Input TerminalsClass B wiring from a FACP The fire panel supervises its notification output the same way it supervises ordinary notification circuits (open circuit = trouble). The power supplies emulates the trouble behavior by breaking the EOL supervision current for any power supply trouble, putting the fire panel into a notification circuit trouble.
Signal Input TerminalsClass B wiring from a FACP Alarm Condition (ON) The power supplies will accurately sense the polarity of the fire panel’s notification circuit to drive the outputs whether or not the supervision connection is intact. During the Alarm Condition (ON) the fire panel will not sense trouble conditions though its notification circuits.
CURRENT REQUIREMENTS (Battery Calculations) 1.) Current Draw From Host Fire Panel = 15mA 2.) Current Draw From Batteries = ?
5495 Board Only the green AC LED should be on in a normal condition.
5499 Board Only the green AC LED should be on in a normal condition.
Trouble Relay The Trouble Relay is one option to signal the trouble condition to the FACP, the primary way is though the FACP Notification circuit connected to the input.
Notification PowerClass B wiring from a FACP Input 1 will short terminal 19 to terminal 17 during normal operation, and open during trouble conditions. Same operation if using input 2 (terminals 14 and 16).
Notification PowerExtend Class B Circuit The EOL must be the only thing connected to terminals 17 and 14! Notification devices powered from the main fire panel.
Stand Alone OperationMore Power What’s the max. current that the Model 5495 can supply with 4 the outputs? What’s the max. current that the Model 5499 can supply with 4 the outputs?
Stand AloneDoor Holder Operation 5495 or 5499 FACP What’s the max. current that the Aux. Power output can supply??? Normally Closed Alarm Relay
