What: Joint Firepower Course 13-708 • When: 19 – 23 August 2013 • Who: 21st CAV BDE • Where: Fort Hood, TX • Instructors: AJST-N: LTC Alfredo, MAJ Mitchell, SSG Detwiler • 6thCTS: Maj Molina, 1Lt Hoffman, SSgt Whitehead • Students: 85 • Summary: On 19 August 2013, 21st CAV BDE hosted members of Army Joint Support Team – Nellis, and 6thCombat Training Squadron to Gray Army Airfield, Fort Hood, TX to provide instruction for the Joint Firepower Course. In addition to the attendees from 21st CAV BDE, there were attendees from 1st CAV DIV staff, 1st ACB, 3rd CAV Regiment, 15th and 206th MI. In total, 85 students representing 10 MOSs, attended the Joint Firepower Course MTT 13-708. Their ranks ranged from E1 to O4. AJST-N and 6th CTS’s course instruction enhanced the students’ knowledge of joint fires employment and Air-Ground Integration in order to prepare Soldiers for future contingency operations. • Statistics: • Class was composed mostly of MQ-1C (Gray Eagle) operators, Army Aviators, and Fires MOSs • 6 different Ft.
