  2. PURPOSE • To evaluate corneal parameters in keratoconic eyes using PentacamScheimpflug analyzer.

  3. MATERIALS AND METHODS • Case-control study in 100 eyes • 66 normal eyes • 34 keratoconic eyes • Keratoconus diagnosis made using Scheimpflug analyzer (Pentacam) • Evaluation of • Corneal pachymetry in the central and thinnest point • vertex position • asphericity • Central, 4mm superior and inferior dioptricalpower • Anterior and posterior elevation Central, 4mm superior and inferior • Statistical evaluation done with SPSS 15

  10. CONCLUSIONS • There is a high difference on each of the corneal parameter evaluated with Pentacam between normal and keratoconiceyes. • With a significant difference on the elevation maps both anterior and posterior. • Corneal vertex dispersion was significantly higher in keratoconic eyes.
