Need To make a kite that’s stable, efficient, and can stay in the air for the longer period of time to take accurate air temperature measurements.
Requirements • Use for Task- For our kite, the goal is to create a kite that can take the temperature measurements of the air. • Suitable for the Task- The kite must be stable, and can fly easily under any weather conditions. • Helps Manage Resources – The kite must be environmental friendly and be made of recyclable materials • Technology Feasible- Whether or not the accessory is capable of working. • Possible Cost- The least costly kite with accessory. • Safety- Making sure that the accessory is secure to the kite while on the ground and in flight.

Sled Kite This kite has a basic, easy design. The shape is produced mostly by the pressure of the wind. Without wind the kite might collapse. The cover is made of polyethylene. Due to the ease of design, it is mostly used for children’s recreation. The original type of Sled has 2 straight spars running the length of the kite
Diamond Kite • 1 Vertical Spar • Nose & Tail • 1 or 2 Horizontal Spar(s) • Can be Bowed • Not? Needs a tail • Bridle • Attached in 2 Places on the Vertical Spar • Made of plastic, nylon or polyester • Colorful Designs
Delta Kite • Basic shape = simple triangle • Two thin dowels or spars along each wing edge • Another dowel for the spine • And a fourth dowel intersecting the spin and fixed to each wing edge • A triangular keel is also present along the spine from which the string is attached
Box Kite • A box kite is a high performance kite, noted for developing relatively high lift. • The typical design has four parallel struts. • The box is made rigid with diagonal crossed struts. • There are two sails, whose width is about a quarter of the length of the box. • The sails wrap around the ends of the box, leaving the ends and middle of the kite open.
