  2. DCS/Hardware Summary • 29 July 2009 cooling problems • High dewpoint caused cooling to shut off • RCT on and off from ~1 - 6 PM • Turned back on after assurances cooling was okay • 2-3 August 2009 “offline” periods • RMCs 1, 2, 10 briefly appeared offline night of 2 August • RMCs 4, 9, 10 early morning of 3 August • 4, 10 “came back” right away • 9 still appeared offline until CMSfwRCT_sendToRMC.ctl script restarted

  3. Pattern tests • 30 July (during dedicated maintenance shifts) • New problems • EM Crate 1 card 6 -- low 2-bit • EM Crate 6 most cards -- ordering and/or stuck bits • EM Crate 7 all cards -- low 16-bit in isolated stream • Showed up in most patterns, not just one or two • HF Crate 15 -- HF tower 1,5 low 32-bit • Pattern tests planned for maintenance shifts tomorrow, magnet ramp Friday

  4. Shift Call • 29 July evening: shifter requested all of EB be unmasked (two supermodules had been masked) • Called Pam, who did the unmasking • Pam then gave some of us a mini tutorial session the next day on how to mask/unmask channels/supermodules so we can do it ourselves

  5. DQM • CRAFT09 • Run 109603 • EEG_EHSUMS_TAU3_DECO_25_CRAFT09 • Aug. 2, 208 minutes • Looked at 20k events • HCAL problem fixed with new global tag, plots look much better! • More CRAFT long runs available online at https://test-rct.web.cern.ch/test-Rct/

  6. Iso Electrons (109603) None of these errors seen in pattern tests or correspond to masked channels Light green and yellow spots come and go Persistent

  7. HF bit + tau bit (run 109603) • Persistent

  8. Region sums (run 109603) • Known: HF ET problem • Light green and yellow spots come and go • Light green/dark green structure persistent in overlap eta row • Persistent (one source card)
