Activities since last report (Toledo Meeting) • Sending out the results of the questionnaire as a summary document to all countries for reviewing: December 22nd 2005 • Meeting of a core team 26th/27th January 2006 in Vienna • Finalisation of the summary document • Draft version of the inventory document • Discussion of a draft paper of the INSPIRE- Drafting team WG-CPI Joint Working Group of EG and the PCC

Activities … • Meeting of the Core team of the EG- Cadastral Expert Team in Paris (1st/2nd February 2006) • Meeting of the WG-CPI in Vienna 22nd/23rd February 2006 • Elaboration of the draft inventory document • Discussion of the documents for INSPIRE-Drafting-Team WG-CPI Joint Working Group of EG and the PCC

Activities … • Handing over the documents to INSPIRE Drafting Team(1st March 2006) • Result of the questionnaire about the role of the cadastral parcel • inventory document • Declaration on Cadastre of the PCC • WG-CPI offered assistance • “..our working group is very interested in your work and information about the developments in the INSPIRE process..” • “..regarding the great interest of all NMCAs represented in the members of the PCC and EuroGeographics I will offer our professional assistance as cadastral experts and hope for intensive cooperation…” WG-CPI Joint Working Group of EG and the PCC

Analysis the work plan of the WG-CPI- Project • Analysis of the wider role of the cadastral parcel and other property units within National SDIs • Actual use of cadastral information in National SDI (inventory) • Based on the first questionnaire an additional questionnaire is needed • Contact national Cadastral agencies (same contact persons) • Production of an inventory (document) of the role of the cadastral parcel and other property units in Environmental and other policy sectors • Part 1 concerning INSPIRE- requirements : done  • Part 2 concerning the role in NSDI (wider role of the cadastre): to do WG-CPI Joint Working Group of EG and the PCC

Analysis the work plan of the WG-CPI- Project • During the implementation reply on the following questions • what is a cadastral parcel, find a common definition, describe how different countries define it and what information they keep, put it in the context of the current INSPIRE draft directive: done  • What is the Commission really looking for? • Who knows?? WE have to tell them! (When, what, to whom, based on what) • gain and then spread knowledge on the INSPIRE process, and the connection to proposed SDICs within our communitydone  WG-CPI Joint Working Group of EG and the PCC

Analysis the work plan of the WG-CPI- Project • Describe the immediate future INSPIRE process before the sub-group’s first meeting • done  Document (by Clare Hadley) and sent out to all members (together with the first questionnaire) • Improvement/complement of the Inventory document • Chapter 1 concerning INSPIRE- requirements : done  • Chapter 2 concerning the role in NSDI (wider role of the cadastre): has to developed based on the additional questionnaire with respect to the results of the other projects (Pekka, Peter, Leila) WG-CPI Joint Working Group of EG and the PCC

Next steps … • Additional questionnaire • elaborate the questionnaire (July 2006) • Sending out (July 2006), answers expected: September 2006 • Evaluate the answers (October/November 2006) • Main points • Which role has the cadastre in the different NSDIs • How is cadastral information used in NSDI • show how the variety of cadastral information is used • …. WG-CPI Joint Working Group of EG and the PCC

  13. Next steps … • Completion of the inventory document: draft to be discussed at the PCC-Meeting under Finnish presidency • Next meeting of the Working group to be planned! WG-CPI Joint Working Group of EG and the PCC
