Update/Status of Geant4 Balloon Flight Simulator

Update on the status of the Geant4 Balloon Flight Simulator by T. Mizuno from Hiroshima Univ., focusing on cosmic-ray proton AMS data, modulation, geomagnetic cutoff, and angular distributions. Plans to implement newest proton/electron models, construct positron/He flux, photon flux, and study azimuth angle dependence of geomagnetic cutoff.

  1. Update/Status of Geant4 Balloon Flight Simulator T. Mizuno (Hiroshima Univ.) mizuno@hirax6.hepl.hiroshima-u.ac.jp mizuno@SLAC.Stanford.EDU

  2. Cosmic-ray Proton AMS data *modulation *geomagnetic_cutoff AMS data Polar angle distribution: Secondary(Tylka report): Primary : isotropic Azimuth angle distribution: uniform distribution

  3. Cosmic-ray electron (Komori 1999) (Verma et al 1967) *modulation *geomagnetic_cutoff Angular distribution: assume to be the same as proton

  4. What we need to do… • implement the newest proton/electron model in the simulator • construct/implement positron/He flux • construct/implement photon flux • azimuth angle dependence of geomagnetic cutoff (east-west effect)
