Where you are asked to pick out premises and conclusions, be precise with your copying out – use the wording from the argument, not your interpretation of them. • Remember a conclusion is a statement as well! • Where you are asked to describe the difference between, make sure you use link words between sentences (i.e. a statement is a proposition that may be true or false whereas an argument is a series of statements so connected as to lead to a conclusion. • Remember to include an extra sentence (regarding premises and conclusions or questions and imperatives) when answering an argument question. • There is a difference between what is the conclusion and what is a conclusion. • Answering questions about Sound arguments should result in you also saying what an unsound argument is….
