International • Missionaries go all over the world to help the less fortunate get better lives. People that have been hit by earthquakes, hurricanes, and floods are all people that missionaries help. Missionaries also help people with other problems besides natural disasters.
Where do Missionaries work? • Missionaries work in any country where there are poor people or people that are not Catholic. They help out with the poor and teach the uneducated. They also evangelize to the non-Catholic population in the country that they are in.
Pope St. Gregory the Great • Pope St. Gregory the Great organized Rome, gave generously to the poor, and wrote letters to instruct Catholics. Pope Gregory is also known for reforming the liturgy and compiling Church music. Pope Gregory sent monks to every land to evangelize barbarians. The monks also made laws, taught the people reading, writing, and counting, and showed them how to cultivate the land and set up trade.
