Performance Development. Introduction to the Site Performance Development Plan (PDP) and Feedback Mechanism.
E N D
Introduction to the Site Performance Development Plan (PDP) and Feedback Mechanism • I propose to use the following framework to provide annual feedback to each site leader. The feedback is in effect a comment on leadership and the sitelearning improvement plan. Without a clear sense of direction built upon a sound values base making a difference to student learning outcomes is simply rhetoric. • The improvement priorities in the PDP take into account the DECS Statement of Directions as well as the site learning plan priorities. • The Annual Report strategic directions, Site Learning Plan priorities and your PDP improvement priorities are closely linked to each other and the District Support Learning Plan (DSLP). • The DSLP is an instrument that identifies district priorities and describes District Support team commitment and actions in support of continuous improvement in sites. • The SLP needs to be closely linked to the Resource Entitlement Statement. • The annual report tells your community how successful you have been in achieving your goals. • A projected outcome of effective planning is process improvement on a continuous basis. Site Learning Plans describe a change and improvement strategy. • When I walk into your site things I look for include: • A realistic and achievable SLP • A maximum of three site priorities. • An Action Plan strategy to include best use of resources. • Successful intervention procedures • A positive site culture (inquiry and continuous improvement) • Professional networks and Action Research
