  3. An overview of what is changed and/or what is unchanged • the content of the Course has not changed • content previously only assessed in the units is now included in the course assessment • skills of planning and evaluation now assessed in portfolio

  4. An overview of what is changed and/or what is unchanged Portfolio • all sections extended Performance • increase from 1 to 2 physical activities • planning and evaluating sections removed

  5. Component 1 Portfolio • enables candidates to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the performance development process • increased to 60 marks • 50% course award • 3 sections • command words

  6. Component 1 Portfolio • changes to assessment conditions • completed in centre • submission date remains the same • continues to be externally marked by SQA

  7. Component 1 Portfolio Section 1 • assesses the understanding of the four factors • 8 marks available • completed under a high degree of supervision and control
