(Personal story, I encountered the worst, a Female w/ 5.0 GPA and College Bound, Until) • Mom and Dad always supply the money for their children… • Questions should why do you need money? They send their dogs on you. It can endanger your entire family and ultimately cost you your life.
SUM it UP!!!! • COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CHILDREN!!! • TALK WITH YOUR CHILDREN!!! • BE APPROACHABLE!!! • HAVE A PLAN!!! Not if but when mistakes happen. • If they make a mistake handle it with care and be vigilant. • Have code words and allow it to be used ( I have a stomach ache) if they are in a bad situation. Go and pick them up. • Explain to your children, “I would rather come get you, no matter what age you become than identify you in a morgue!” If you become impaired of any substance, CALL ME. • Talk about it the next day. Good judgment was used don’t discourage it by breaking the rules set in the agreement. Unless they want to talk leave it alone until the next day…. • When you talk to them the next day, express long term effects of their actions.
